Allvest

A complete brand foundation, visual system, and progressive web application created for Allvest, a digital investment start-up by Allianz. The project encompassed brand strategy, custom logotype design, interactive product simulation, and end-to-end UX/UI.

00 · Summary

Challenge

Our challenge was to build a clearer, more intuitive marketing page and a seamless end-to-end product experience that empowered users to understand and confidently invest with Allvest, the new digital investment start-up from Allianz.

Outcome

Together with Allvest, we developed the brand foundation, a new logotype and its brand guidelines, a new narrative and layout for the marketing website, and a secure progressive web app designed to build user trust from the first touchpoint to the final investment decision.

01 · Approach

Parallel workstreams

We kicked off with fast-paced collaborative workshops to define the Allvest brand foundation. Two parallel workstreams then ran in tandem: brand identity and expression, and product design and user experience. In an agile process with the frontend team, we finalized the visual language and designed the product UI, delivering a cohesive and polished brand and digital experience.

Value proposition

A flexible, cost-efficient investment solution that combines investment funds and Allianz assets to deliver strong returns with a minimum guaranteed floor.

02 · Process

Brand identity

With the brand foundation established, I set out to create a new identity and visual language for Allvest. Our target audience was defined as digitally literate, design-aware individuals in their mid-thirties.

The Allvest mark in white on black: two angled strokes forming an A and a V that read as a single rising shape
The full Allvest logotype, the angular mark beside the wordmark ALLVEST over the line Powered by Allianz
The Allvest logotype over its construction guides, showing the clear space and alignment rules for the mark, wordmark and Allianz endorsement
The Allvest mark in white on gold, set over scattered translucent triangles drawn from the brand's triangular grid
The underlying brand grid, a full field of equilateral triangles in fine grey line on off-white
The triangular grid mapped across four nested screen sizes, from 1024x768 up to 2560x1440

Brand grid and color

The Allvest grid is based on the angles of the letters A and V, which form the foundation of the mark. The primary accent, golden yellow, is complemented by Allianz blue to reinforce a sense of reliability and trust.

The primary palette as five vertical bands: gold, warm grey, off-white, deep navy and slate blue

03 · Development

The marketing website

I explored nearly nine different visual directions in total. Aligning the three stakeholders proved to be a challenging task.

Six full-length marketing page directions side by side, ranging from portrait-led layouts to gold geometry and 3D product stills

Visual metaphors

We needed a compelling way to make abstract financial structures tangible and easy to understand for everyday investors.

Three moodboards of visual metaphors, collecting still-life photography of geometric objects in colour, material and texture studies

Moodboards and visual research

I explored ways to visualize how the product allocates investment volumes across two distinct strategies, and how this could be aligned with the brand positioning defined during the brand foundation process.

A sheet of balance studies pairing a textured sphere with a cone across seesaws, stacks and overlaps, each variant labelled
Material research as a grid of circular swatches, covering copper, wood, stone, marble, concrete and patterned terrazzo
Rendered studies of a champagne-gold sphere and a navy marble sphere, shown at different sizes and balanced on stacked plates and a seesaw
The two brand spheres side by side and labelled: the gold one Fondsanlage durch Allianz, the navy marble one Allianz Sicherungsvermogen

Precision in proportion

With mathematical accuracy as a non-negotiable constraint, the proportional relationship between two spheres was chosen as the primary visual metaphor for Allvest.

Volume diagram deriving each sphere's diameter from the sum invested, with the formula above and a row of spheres shrinking as the allocation falls
Two marketing page screens: the hero, Einfach intelligent investieren, over the balancing spheres, and the guarantee explainer with the allocation slider
Four mobile marketing screens: the hero, the three-step chapter opener, the capital guarantee split at 34 and 66 per cent, and the benefits list
The simulation calculator, with guarantee level, first and monthly payment and term as inputs above a fan chart of good, middle and poor scenarios

04 · Outcome

Bringing it all togeher

With the visual language matured and the product UX finalized, both workstreams merged, and the final UI was applied to the product, creating a safe, trustworthy, and transparent experience.

The Allvest cockpit on a gold-edged phone against dark navy marble, showing a contract value of 2.436,44 euro above the Aktiv 60 position
The simulation calculator running in the phone app, laid on white marble, its fan chart labelled with the four outcome scenarios
Three cockpit screens: the contract value summary, the value development chart from July 2019 to July 2020, and the policy split of 39 per cent Active Invest to 61 per cent Sicherungsvermogen
The cockpit's card system laid out as a grid: holdings, guarantee capital, value overview, asset allocation, allocation by industry and the transaction history
Three-part composition of the finished work: the mark on black, the mobile marketing pages, and the desktop site open on a laptop beside a coffee
A hand holding the phone through the Starten Sie Ihre Investition flow, above the guarantee explainer and the gold closing panel Worauf warten Sie?

05 · Client feedback

What we've achieved together as a team during these last 6 months sets up a solid foundation for our future success.
